Company transfer: a challenge for competitiveness
The trend that began in 2018 is continuing. Business transfers are at the heart of the economic debate and the Pact bill, steered by Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire.

Business transfer simplified
The initial timetable of the Pact law is maintained. The text which aims to support the competitiveness of French companies will be studied on January 29 in the Senate, as planned. Among the most important points: the simplification of procedures related to the transfer of companies. Indeed, it is estimated that half of the 60,000 companies put up for sale each year do not find a buyer. This means that 30,000 companies have to close their activities, resulting in tens of thousands of job losses.

lighten the burden of formalities for the transmission of business, note the simplification of taxation and various constraints in the context of the transmission of a family business as well as the temporary easing of the tax credit for the purchase of business by employees. The Ministry of Economy also underlines the extension of the ACCRE system, which allows business owners and creators to benefit from a blank year of social contributions, subject to resources.
The importance of anticipating the transfer of a business
Simplifying the transfer of a business is a real bet on the future. And a big one! According to the CCI Paris Île de France, quoted by Le Figaro (03/01/19) 275,000 companies, mainly VSEs with less than 10 employees, in all sectors, will be transferred in the coming decade. The competitiveness of France and the economic dynamism of the country are at stake.
